The 87th Oklahoma American Legion Oratorical contest was held at the W. Roger Webb Forensic Science Institute on the University of Oklahoma Campus in Edmond,OK. There were six contestants. Post 88 contestant Jesse LaBahn won convincingly. As the state winner she received a $1000 prize and will go to the American Legion National Oratorical in Hillsdale, Michigan from May 16-18. All expenses are covered for her and a chaperone (her Mom). We are very proud of her accomplishments. American Legion post 88 will present her with a $100 check soon.
MobileSmiles Oklahoma is coming to Norman American Legion
MobileSmiles Oklahoma is a nonprofit dental care program delivering FREE dental care and education to Oklahomans. Their mobile clinic, complete with two dentist’s chairs, will be offering services including; exams, x-rays, sealants fillings, extractions. Fluoride varnish, oral hygiene instruction supplies and more.
To schedule treatment, call 405-366-7575 or email at alpost88@gmail.com. Come to Post 88 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out required papers. Coffee & soft drinks will be provided while you wait. Call soon, only 9 appointments remain.
